∞ Blood lust. An aspect of Shinobu’s vampire-dom that had been essentially stripped from her along with her powers by one Koyomi Araragi. The moment she had been reduced to a child, she had found that she was no longer subjected to the aches and cravings of the fluid that flowed through the veins of every living mammal. It was saddening, as she still enjoyed the experience, yet her new ‘Master’ had forced her into an agreement that she would no longer prey on the unsuspecting.
She was about to go against his wishes - not of her own choice, but due to the silliness of something like a dare. However, it wasn’t as if her Master was around. It wasn’t as if she could be punished. There was certainty that he’d likely never found out about this at all.
And so the vampire pounced from a shadow cast upon a wall, using her shadow movement technique to avoid being seen, latching onto her target’s neck with her arms as she leaned in with pointed fangs hovering over their neck. Only one with quick reflexes would be able to shake her off before it was too late. But now that she was so close, Shinobu wanted this.
Blood, fresh blood.

Smile was completely unprepared when the moment struck. The Hive was still an unfamiliar place to the boy, as he wandered through shadowy alleyways – however, just because the location was different didn’t mean he would soon forget about his horror game origins.
That’s why, when the arms came out of nowhere and clutched around his neck, he almost had war flashbacks of the flesh-eating monsters back in the flow. Against those zombie-like creatures, he’d had several wins, but quite a few losses against them as well… and he’d make absolute sure it wouldn’t happen again!

The usual tactic would do – whip around, throw off the enemy and end it with a blow to the head!
… It probably would’ve gone a lot more smoothly if the mysterious oddity around his neck had any weight to throw off in the first place. And, wait - his hammer had been replaced by a dinky, nearly harmless one in this place, so what was he even trying to accomplish?!
“Augh, what th’ hell are ya doin’?! Get oooofffff!” Without a weapon, Smile, who had previously been such a monster hunter, was sadly reduced to just that.

ooc: I completely forgot to inform everybody that I wasn’t gonna be on this account for a bit………………. I’m ultra sorry for my negligence. orz
but I’m back now, though replies may be scattered a bit. ))
Fi nods her head calmly. The man’s comment didn’t bother her. After all, her main purpose was to explain concepts to Master Link, regardless of what they were. She has experience with many questions asked in sequence because of this.
"Correct. 98% is exactly 2% away from 100%. It is so close to a completely sure probability based on the danger of the action in question. Based on the fact that the weather outside is incredibly perilous at the moment, if one were to blow away in the wind, it would essentially guarantee fatal injuries. However, very little can be calculated to 100%, as there are often exceptions to every situation."Press A.
"I will now explain what I meant by hearts. Your explanation for the situation is not accurate. I am not a manananggal, which according to my database is amythicalPhilippine creature that consumes the hearts of fetuses. In my world, and perhaps in yours as well, one's life force is represented by the amount of hearts one has remaining in one's life meter. To replenish said meter, one could eitherdrink a certain potion or collect loose hearts. I am not aware of where these hearts originate from, but I am 89% certain that they are not fetus hearts."Press A.
"I will not devour your heart. Please do not concern yourself."

Smile had previously thought that the blue girl’s words were like the wind outside, blowing right over his head – but it was then when she spoke that he realized that her onslaught of words and rambling was a force much stronger than any stormy winds. They blew his brain this way and that… it was, what did she say again – a 98% chance of fatal injury! For his brain, that was. Or so he’d figured.
He merely pressed A nodded to feign understanding, until she said something really interesting!
“Life force? An’ a life meter?” Smile was starting to catch on here. “I see! You’re from a game, just like me! ‘Cept where I come from there’s no hearts or potions or nothin’… well, there are fetuses though...” Disregarding that… “When ya get hit, ya just up n’ die! Boy I guess a life meter really isn’t all that useful then.”
Smile wasn’t sure if all game characters had the same grand awakening as him or not: the revelation that yes, you are merely a bunch of data in a game. So whether this person understood or not was beyond him; all he knew was that there were game people like himself and there were so called real people like his friend Sabi, who played the software he resided in. He’d gradually become aware of his existence as data ever since she… well, told him that he was only a bunch of pixels on a screen. Boy that really screwed him up back then!
“Thank ya very much for not eatin’ my heart today, missus. I promise not ta eat yours, neither.” Ah yes it was going to be a beautiful companionship, he could just tell.
Oh my god.
[You laugh a bit before smiling again.]
How interesting. I like that story, heheh. But anyway! I’ve been talking to you for a bit, yet you haven’t told me your name. Hmm.

Judging from that reaction, he couldn’t really tell if the girl had bought his story or not. Not that it was a very convincing one in the first place!
“Likewise, missy. The name’s Smile. Nice ta meet’cha.”
She chuckled a bit with him, turning her head to the side and looking him over. He looked…younger. Surely it was nothing, though.
“You’re cheerier than usual. What’s got you in such a good mood?”

“Cheerier than usual? Well gee, I guess it’s just ‘cause you’re th’ first person I’ve seen in a while. Pretty lonely out ‘ere!”
“And are you doin’ just as well?”
Anyway, what happened to you? Like, how did you get those marks? You don’t, mn, have to answer if you don’t want to.
Well, Smile figured, this girl was pretty strange, but so was he, so that worked out just fine! At her question, he put on his most wistful look, and gazed somewhere in the distance…

“Ah, th’ scars on m’ face…” he almost sighed the words, as if recalling a distant memory, “I got ‘em in th’ war. I was a soldier in th’ army. That was way back before ya even existed, I bet…”
Smile chuckled to himself.
Ah, uh, m’kay.
[You placed your hand on the side of his face and gently rubbed the mark with your finger. It felt kind of disgusting, but you didn’t mind. You rubbed it once more, before laying your arm back at your side.]
Heh, thank you.

“No problem, missy…!”
… even though he’d said that, man, this girl was sure some kinda weirdo.
It’s like. Really weird, oh my gosh. Can I just uh, um!!! Can I touch the crosses on your eyes, maybe.
[You felt so embarrassed saying that, oh god. You chuckled and smiled, trying to not look too embarrassed.]
When the girl had asked, he touched his finger to them without thinking… eugh, they were sort of gross and scar-like. Why would anybody want to touch them? But she seemed so eager, so it was alright, he supposed.

“I don’t see what’s so interestin’, but go ‘head I s’pose!” And he lowered himself to her height.
Sabitsukisboyfriend entered your mirror world.Oh my god.
Your eyES.

“Handsome, ain’t they.”
… was all that the boy could say to the gaping girl. Seriously, no one else was so forward about them upon their first meeting before!
